France Launches Factur-X 1.07.3
On May 7, 2025, France released version 1.07.3 of its hybrid e-invoicing format, Factur-X. The update ensures stronger technical compliance with the EU’s EN 16931 standard and prepares the country for its upcoming B2B e-invoicing mandate.
Key Updates in Factur-X
The latest version introduces the following improvements:
- Updated EN 16931 code lists
- Validation and editorial improvements
- Support for French VAT exemption codes (VATEX)
- Enhanced rounding flexibility under the EXTENDED profile
Factur-X combines a readable PDF/A-3 invoice with embedded XML data, allowing both automation and manual processing. As France transitions toward mandatory B2B e-invoicing, this new version provides companies with a compliant and interoperable invoicing solution.
