Comarch User Group 2025 – A Global Gathering of Experts in Kraków

On May 19–20, Kraków once again became the meeting point for leaders in business, technology, and innovation. Comarch User Group 2025 brought together 700 participants from 48 countries and six continents, making this year’s edition the largest in the event’s history.
The conference kicked off at Comarch’s headquarters, where the President of the Management Board, Jarosław Mikos, welcomed guests with an opening speech. He emphasized Comarch’s global presence, now operating in 79 offices across 38 countries, and the increasing importance of technology in a rapidly changing world.
“I believe that artificial intelligence is revolutionizing the world. We must be at the forefront of this revolution. Working with advisors and CVC, I feel we are a European leader in this area,” stated the Comarch CEO.
Among the speakers were Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska, Chris Burns (Euronews, Bloomberg, CNN), Krzysztof Krawczyk – Vice Chairman of Comarch’s Supervisory Board and Partner at CVC Capital Partners, as well as Comarch Vice Presidents Michał Mędrala and Marcin Kaleta.
Over two intensive days, participants had the opportunity to explore the latest trends in areas such as loyalty, finance, insurance, e-invoicing, and telecommunications. The program featured over 65 presentations and panel discussions led by 70 experts from around the world. Guests also toured the modern Data Center and Innovation Space, where Comarch showcased its latest technological solutions.
On the evening of the first day, a gala dinner took place in the historic Stara Zajezdnia (Old Tram Depot) in Kraków, a UNESCO World Heritage Site – a unique venue that offered a perfect setting for networking
On the second day, the conference moved to the prestigious Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University, where industry-specific tracks were held, tailored to individual sectors.
The second day of Comarch User Group 2025 for the Banking and Insurance track began with opening remarks from Wojciech Mach, the new Director of Comarch’s Financial Services Division, and Wojciech Pawluś, Vice President of Comarch, who welcomed a record-breaking group of 131 financial sector guests. In his address, Wojciech Pawluś emphasized the importance of business flexibility, growth, and collaboration as critical success factors in today’s fast-changing economic environment.
The banking segment kicked off with a powerful panel discussion featuring Karol Leszczyński from Comarch and Nadezhda Petkova from DSK Bank, who discussed their experience implementing factoring solutions in Bulgaria. Their conversation highlighted the essential role of understanding local market conditions when executing international projects. Subsequent presentations showcased the scale of innovation and agility in the financial sector. Alexandru Calin from BRD – Groupe Société Générale spoke about delivering business value effectively in a volatile economy, underlining the importance of cross-team collaboration and flexible product design.
Reggie Fernandes and Laith Iskandarani from The Commercial Bank of Qatar presented the transformation of wealth management services in one of the world’s most demanding markets. Zaid Alnatour from Arab Bank discussed digital personalization of customer experiences in private banking. Sean Edwards, Chairman of the International Trade & Forfaiting Association, explored current trends in trade finance and supply chain financing in the context of shifting geopolitical and economic realities. The final presentation of the day for banking participants was delivered by Marcin Kozłowski from Vintom, who shared insights into the potential of hyper-personalized customer service using AI-generated video content.
Participants from the insurance sector were welcomed by Małgorzata Moderacka and Tomasz Jędroszkowiak from Comarch. Pedro de Sousa Avelino of FWD Insurance, a pan-Asian group, presented a revolution in customer experience within a new, integrated digital environment. Bernard Fenech from Oney Insurance and Matthew Goldsmith from Trawick International addressed how technology supports organizational agility and outlined key emerging trends shaping the insurance market in the coming years.
One of the most emotionally resonant sessions was “Resilience or Retreat?” by Jan Kastory and Florian Graillot from Astroya, who demonstrated how technology and startups are filling the gaps left by traditional insurers amid growing climate-related losses and cyber threats. The day concluded with Małgorzata Moderacka from Comarch presenting a roadmap for the development of digital insurance, focusing on customer centricity and the expansion of online channels.
The Comarch User Group 2025 was more than just our largest event to date — it marked a significant moment for the Loyalty and e-Invoicing sectors. With a record-setting 103 Loyalty professionals and an impressive debut of 52 e-Invoicing specialists among the 155 clients from the Services Sector in attendance, this year's edition highlighted both the strength and growing importance of these areas within our business.
Participants engaged in a full two-day agenda, including keynote sessions, panel discussions, and informal networking, making the event a valuable opportunity for sector-focused knowledge sharing and relationship building.
Both the Loyalty and e-Invoicing sections of the event delivered strong content. In the Loyalty sessions, topics included AI-driven personalization, building or integrating with domain-specific platforms, and mobile-first strategies. Case studies from Heathrow, Alshaya, Globe Telecom, and SAS EuroBonus offered real-world examples of loyalty innovation in action. Other sessions explored the emotional drivers of loyalty, sustainability in program design, and emerging regional ecosystems.
The e-Invoicing section focused on pressing regulatory developments, such as mandates in Belgium, Poland, and the Middle East. Participants also examined practical challenges related to global rollout strategies, tax compliance, and integration in multi-ERP environments. Insights from companies like METRO helped contextualize best practices and lessons learned. A key highlight was the contribution of Michał Mędrala, Vice President and Director of the Services Division, who presented Comarch’s AI roadmap. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of trust and long-standing client partnerships in driving our technology development forward.
He also participated in the panel 'Converging Loyalty with Digital Identity & Payments,' which addressed how loyalty is increasingly being integrated with identity and payment systems — and how these changes are reshaping customer interaction models across industries
In total, 60 client interviews were recorded during the event, providing high-value material for our upcoming communication and marketing efforts.
The Comarch User Group 2025 welcomed representatives from 33 telecommunications companies across 20 countries. Together with Comarch experts, attendees explored a pivotal question: how can the future of telecom services be effectively built in a world driven by data, artificial intelligence, and rising customer expectations?
The telecommunications-focused panels began with insightful presentations from Marcin Kaleta, CEO of the Telecommunications Division at Comarch, and Tymoteusz Wrona, Chief Strategy & Operations Officer. They highlighted the division’s current priorities and outlined Comarch's vision for driving innovation in telecom, emphasizing an unwavering commitment to delivering maximum customer satisfaction.
The spotlight was on topics such as the development of Level 4 Autonomous Networks, the modular transformation of BSS systems, and the role of AI as a strategic tool for increasing operators’ efficiency and competitiveness.
Miguel Morgado from Eutelsat presented how the use of AI in alarm management impacts the reliability of LEO and GEO satellite networks. Tomasz Kopera from Cellnex Poland discussed the transformation of telecommunications infrastructure in Poland based on a “cloud-first” strategy. David McKinnon from PG&E shared his experience with integrating OSS systems in a critical infrastructure environment. Mohamad Dakalbab from du showcased an advanced inventory platform based on Kafka technology. Toni Eid, founder of Telecom Review, stated that “AI is in everything” and emphasized its key role in sustainable development and innovation in the sector.
Significant attention was given to strategies for advancing telecom infrastructure, both technologically and organizationally. The discussion focused on harnessing the power of cloud technology, automation, and real-time data integration to address the increasing complexity of networks. These innovations aim to ensure operators can seamlessly adapt to an ever-evolving market landscape.
Comarch experts shared key insights into the future of connectivity services during their presentations. Bartosz Nowakowski outlined a strategic approach to the development of Comarch products for billing, showcasing a clear vision and constant improvements over the years, while Piotr Machnik and Pawel Łopata explored the practical steps toward adopting AI agents for network analysis, anomaly forecasting, and aggregating data from various sources with consideration for cloud and local implementation. Concluding the session, Pawel Workiewicz, Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted Comarch's vision for advancing as a trusted technology partner, supporting operators in their digital transformation journey.
The 2025 edition of Comarch User Group marked a pivotal moment for the telecommunications industry as it enters a new era of innovation. Central to this transformation are automation, adaptable IT architectures, real-time data integration, and the growing role of artificial intelligence. Comarch's telecommunications experts introduced a range of tailored tools and strategies designed to guide operators through every step of this evolution—from initial vision to full-scale implementation.
Comarch User Group is not just a conference – it's a platform for sharing experiences and a place where new ideas are born. For over a decade, the event has brought together experts and partners from around the world. Over the past 10 years, 437 speakers have taken the CUG stage, and the number of participants has exceeded 4,500.
This year’s edition set a new benchmark – with its modern format, dynamic presentations, striking visual design, and excellent organization, it proved once again that Comarch User Group remains one of the most important technology events in the region.
